about

There is a constant battle going on inside of me: good vs. bad (bad, not evil). I do not yet know which side will win, or which side I am on, or which side is which side for that matter. In the meantime there is everything in between. That is where I am, caught between the good and the bad, between the cowboys and the indians (in no particular order). And I don't even have a horse.

This 'extended play' (EP) album that you are listening to is what I consider a small collection of my in-betweens: leftovers of songs, poems, art, letters, etc (isn't it odd how the word art doesn't need the letter 's' to follow it? I guess I could leave 's' off the words song(s), poem(s), and letter(s). I believe that would still be acceptable). It is only a glimpse, me smashing years of life and words like fitting a 24 bit song into a two bit mp3 file, all fuzzy and distorted. Due to this distortion, I have decided to include notes (not lyrics) with this 'compact disc' (CD) to give context, and with luck this context will give context, and my first solo 'EP' "Cowboys and Indians" will thus be enjoyed.

Recorded in a dormitory bathroom with a 4 track (reel-to-reel) recording device (of which only 3 tracks are functional), a tambourine (and shaker), a tattered old acoustic guitar which I patched back together with plywood, and a whole lot of love (not so different from my life), this album at first listen is 'simple.' Hopefully words and melodies shine through: story, and song.
